Michael Ammermuller began her career in automobile sport in 2004, in
the championship of Germany of Formule Renault (3rd). The following year,
it takes part in the championships of Italy and Europe of the speciality
(2nd behind Kamui Kobayashi in the two championships).
In 2006, it reaches the championship of GP2 Series within the stable
Arden International. It is classified only 11th championship but with a
victory with Valence and some pretty performances in qualifications, this
first season is regarded as rather promising. The young German, constant
since the beginning of his career by Austrian drink Red Bull also carries
out in September these first turns of wheel in Formule 1 at the wheel of
a single-seater of the Red Bull Racing. Following the dismissal of Christian
Klien and in the promotion of Robert Doornbos, it takes part even in the
last three Grands Prix of the season as a pilot of Friday.
2007 would have being the year of the confirmation for Ammermulle, renewed
as a third pilot of Red Bull Racing, and recruited in GP2 Series by the
stable ART Grand Prix, dominating at the time of the two former seasons.
But its season turns to the nightmare since it is wounded quickly with
the wrist and, its return to the competition not being considered to be
convincing, is definitively replaced at ART by Switzerland Sebastien Buemi.
It finishes the year in World Series by Renault (at Carlin Motorsport to
replace Sebastian Vettel established in F1 at Toro Rosso) but without truly
convincing.
During the winter 2007-2008, it represents Germany in the championship
A1 Grand Prix.
